Chris turns 30!!

We had a small fun get together at our house last night for Chris's big day! I have to say he is a trooper because he didn't really get anything super special and for my usual I just haven't done anything special so I need to find a way to surprise him to celebrate his birthday!

Waldron Family 4th of July

We had the entire Waldron Family clan to our house for the 4th .. minus one important family..Amanda was sick with baby #3! We walked to our park and played baseball, football, and tennis. then we came back and grilled some amazing food!!! Around 7pm we walked to the train stop and took it into the city to watch fireworks and listen to 3 dog night! It was a great night! Eli fell asleep on the train ride home, but loved the fireworks. Eli kept asking where the fireworks came from and if he could make them!! Pittsburgh knows how to do fireworks!

Eli's first buzz cut!

I have been able to spend a lot of time with my mother and family lately, the other week when we were in Morgantown my brothers said they would help cut Eli's hair off!! The child loves to be outside and sweats ALOT...so I had been wanting to do it...so cute~thanks Andrew and Jonathon!

Mia's Room

The nursery is mostly finished... minus a few hangings on the wall and some added flowers to the walls and dresser...I had the bedding made when I couldn't find anything I liked....the bedding is beautiful...I love it...thanks mom!!! I have an amazing mother and I am not sure what I would do without her!! We live in an old home with plaster walls, so we had to scrape off the old paint in order to paint her room...luckily I have a lot of family willing to help me paint, because it was a chore! In the process Chris cut his hand with the razor blade, wondered off to the bedroom and PASSED OUT!!! I was going to put in a few stitches but I didn't have any lidocaine in the house so we cleaned it out and used steri-strips with a make shift finger splint!!...it has healed very nicely! At the time of injury I had just left to run to the store so Chris left the nursery and passed out in our bedroom meanwhile leaving a spray of blood on the walls several minutes later my mom heard he call out to her and had to help him lay down and put his feet up...such a great mom!! Well we finally painted and cleaned the floors in her room...the bedding is done and we are just somewhat patiently waiting for her!!!

Sorry for the delay!

So the Jackson Family is alive and doing very well!! We had a rough winter up in Pittsburgh due to tons of snow and a very challenging pregnancy! I have 7 weeks left and am feeling much better but now ready to be done!! We went on vacation to Florida in March and had a wonderful time. Eli has grown in leaps and bounds since his birthday in January! He amazes me everyday with how much he learns and (usually) how sweet he is! The child is VERY observant and picks EVERYTHING up! His new wonderful observation is hearing the word "freakin" and now feels the need to use it....I pondered on sharing this but I don't want to forget and today I am using this as my journal entry. Eli has been wanting me to rock him at night or cuddle with him, the other night he came down stairs after tucked into bed and asked if I would cuddle with him, so I laid in bed with him for a few minutes and he kept putting his fingers on my face poking me with his toes and obviously not cuddling! So I told him goodnight and I would see him in the AM, I started to walk out of the room and he stood up in bed pointed his little finger and said, "you get back in this freakin bed right now!!" I was shocked and very upset so we discussed not using that word and put him to bed. He has used it 2-3 more times I am hoping not making a big deal with help him grow out of the word! Ahh parenting...We have been struggling with potty training and we are just taking a break from pooping in the potty for a few more weeks because he just DOES NOT want too! As a pediatrician once told me no child has gone to college in diapers! it will happen! Well that is us in a quick nut shell... hopefully I will continue regular posts once baby Mia is here!!
