So this hasn't been the best season if you are a mountaineer fun...but we still love and support our team! We are loosing a GREAT player...and guy this year and it is sad!! Here are some pictures of the Jackson's showing our support!

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. For the first time we hosted Thanksgiving at our house. We were worried, because living in the city our home is a little small for entertaining and having 7 overnight guests, but it was great! 

Great guy!!

I just have to put a little note about my wonderful husband!! I walked out this morning to my car and Chris had cleaned my car off! He is such a great guy! I had told him that I wanted to get up and go to Macy's early this am to get some Christmas shopping done so he cleaned all the snow off for me...great guy!! Love him!!

Little Turkey!

We are having a big Thanksgiving Dinner at our house this year and we are very excited! We have been thinking about name place cards and we came up with this fun idea! My mother also asked if we could send her one too, and so we made a bunch and sent them off to friends and family today! ~sorry for the early preview!! We had a blast making them, it was a perfect snow day craft!!Happy Thanksgiving!!

Fall

I love FALL colors! I had a picture above my fireplace, but it didn't really feel super fall"y" so I made a wreath! It was so much fun I made another one for my front door! don't mind how dirty our fireplace is, they are coming to clean it tomorrow!

Eli took a MUCH needed nap today, I was downstairs when I heard a noise from his bedroom, when I went upstairs he had pulled a chair over to his train table and was "working with tools"!! So cute, he is getting so big!!

Trick or Treat

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! (or day after!!) We had a blast our neighborhood is so great! Eli LOVED it once he figured out that you can walk around and get "snacks" from everyone he thought it was great! He was so cute, he was very thoughtful about what piece he would choose at every house! It is so fun to see him grow!! 

Halloween Party

My good friend just turned 30 so her husband had a surprise Halloween party and we all dressed up! It was a blast!! Chris and Dean were Super Mario Bros! And won for funniest! Thanks mom for keeping Eli!! 

Bribes

So we have  been mildly working with Eli potty training for the last few months, a good friend of mine said, try match box cars. I put little thought into it, until TODAY!! We were at toys R us and I saw a set of them, very cheap and rethought the idea! IT WORKS!! I explained to him that he could not open the cars until he went pee in the potty, so Eli ran into the house and pulled off his clothes and PEED in the potty!! Then again after dinner!!! We are on to something this bribing your kids....WORKS!!!

Pumpkin patch

We went to Simmon's Farm this weekend to pick out  a pumpkin and take a hay ride. The weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful time! Eli asked to ride the horses and loved it! 

Girls night out!

I have had the same group of girlfriends since the first semester of nursing school. We have shared sooo many great memories over the last 10 years and if is always fun to get together and remember those times!!We all met up after the football game last weekend and just had a blast it was nice to have some girls time! Thanks to our husbands for keeping the kids!! Thanks guys!

WVU Football games!

One of the reasons we wanted to move back closer to home was WVU football..I know it is silly but we love it! And the last couple of games the weather was wonderful...good food and great friends! 

Fall

There are so many reasons I love fall....

• I love the warm comfort food of fall...for example last night I made homemade potato&cheese soup with homemade cheese and bacon biscuits..yumm and homemade Buttermilk custard apple pie..yummy..
  
• I love the colors every family walk we just are amazed at the beautiful colors
• sweater weather...love it
• football games we love going WVU football games!
• And of course Halloween!!-and we are so excited to be in such a great neighborhood for trick-or-treating they actually close down streets!

But then I realize it means winter, christmas and Eli's birthday is SOON! and I start freaking out about what I have to get done!! This year I am going to slow down and enjoy fall!! For today!

Sorry about the irregular posts lately!! That is my life currently...OFF SCHEDULE! We are trying desperately to find a good schedule for fall but I am having a hard time figuring it out! I have switched my days to work and I hope that helps! I also think having one of our main bathrooms a disaster is throwing me off! But today Chris is home from work and IS going to finish it! Although last night we had to take him to my work-yes CHILDRENS ED to have my friend fix his finger!! He was grinding down the wall to prepare for the tile and instead cut through the tip of his right index finger-through the nail!!! YUCK!! So my friend put a stitch in it WITHOUT any anesthesia and gave him some antibiotics!! He was a trooper, although he was the color of green bean baby food!! The fun un-expectant joys of life!!

Potty training!

So we are potty training..are attempting! Eli has gone pee..once but that is as far as we have gotten! I am not super stressed about it, BUT he will poop and then remove his clothes and diaper...so you have to stay on top of him when you suspect he is pooping! So I might loose me mind during this process but we are going to keep trying!!

New bathroom...well almost!

So once again I have to publicly state I have a super husband!!  We have a long list of things we need to do on our "new" house and he just keeps on crossing projects off the list! One main project was to re-do our bathrooms-well at least  2 of the 3...so Chris and his father started to tackle that project!! It is still going but here are some updates!...and yes he re-did the walls, and plumbing and soon tile! what a guy!

Amanda's new house!

Eli and I drove up to Morgantown and then drove with my mother and ALL of my sisters-minus Amanda- to Amanda's new house in Virginia! We had sooo much fun! I just have to say having girls time is soo nice! We sang super sappy love songs, watched super girly movies, and we were just silly! We also went to a fabulous ice cream parlor and a great farmers market where we got the yummiest peaches, and I actually made peach jam with them and a peach pie! YUMMM!!!

I have been so fortunate to have a wonderful friend since nursing school! We have been maids of honor respectively and have shared so many wonderful times together! Now that we both have families it is wonderful to have family get togethers!!
